# Lint prose for hedging

`jq` numbers the lines. `filter` keeps the lines that hedge, and each comes back as it went in, line number and all.

*draft.txt, a file the script reads*

```
The export runs every night at two.
It might possibly be worth considering a retry.
Failed rows go to a separate file.
We think this should probably work for most users.
Each row keeps its id.
```

*The two hedging lines come back with their line numbers.*

```
question="Does this sentence hedge?"
jq -cR '{line: input_line_number, text: .}' draft.txt |
thinkthen filter "$question" \
  --batch 1 \
  --jsonl \
  --field /text |
jq -r '"\(.line): \(.text)"'
```

*Output*

```
2: It might possibly be worth considering a retry.
4: We think this should probably work for most users.
```

*exit 0*
